2ND SEXUAL REVOLUTION

Partizipative Animation, online, 2014

Many teenagers, especially girls, are unsure how to deal with their sex and are unaware of the natural variety in different looks. Two questions most probably asked by the majority of teenager girls are if everything looks normal down there and if they should shave their genital area.

It is not easy to direct these questions to family or friends, since everything concerning sexuality is still considered a great taboo by the majority of society. (Thanks to the moral conceptions of our ancestors!)

This is why I had the idea to depict 'common people' who are willing to unashamedly show their genital area. The chance to examine something that usually is not displayed publically is unique since it doesn't need a porno (which depicts anything else but reality). I appeal for a less inhibited exposure to one's own sexuality and the recognition of a natural variety.

Concerning the question why men are included in a vagina museum I have this standpoint:
Once you start to allay fears and put away uptightness, it should happen thoroughly and on both gender sides.

The project was inspired by and carried out in a productive collaboration with a polyamory group, which also defends the mentioned values.
