This picture of the German Renaissance painter follows the tradition to depict the female organ in a more realistic way, that is, with pubic hair[1]. In contrast to the common nudes of the time, the nymph poses lasciviously by putting one leg over the other. The observer's line of sight is directed towards the vulva and the legs. It seems as if the legs were opened slightly. A transparent cloth covers the vulva and the dark pubic hair. The picture is erotic because of the necklace that decorates the breasts and the inviting look of the nymph.
