URETHRA
Anatomy and Function
The urethra is a tube that connects the urinary bladder to the urinary meatus for the removal of fluids from the body. Its meatus is located in the vaginal vestibule, just above the vaginal opening. In females, the urethra is approx. 2.5 to 4 cm and thus shorter than in males (approx. 20 cm). This is why germs can get easier to the urinary bladder and cause an unpleasant urinary tract infection. Sexuality
The urethra can be sexually stimulated and is also called U-point. The deferent ducts of the female prostate partly end around the urethra and partly in the urethra. This is why ejaculation can happen via the urethra. [4] [5]
