Representations of god's mother Mary never depict the sexual organ. The artists during the Middle Ages as well as following ages only represented the breast feeding mother[1]. However, there are a few representations of Mary in the form of the "Mandorla", which in Italian means almond[2]. In other words, a figure or a group of figures is surrounded by an almond-shaped aura. In its form, this almond reminds of a vulva, and "in the Original Church the shape even symbolized the vulva of Virgin Mary"[3].
